Hello from southeast Kansas overlooking Lake Fegan on this first day of summer. This blog will hopefully provide bits of interesting news and images from our corner of the state. So here goes...

Many of you have met Toby, the standard poodle extraordinaire, tracker, hunter, mouser, armadillower, you get the picture. He'll hunt anything that flees... or trees... thus the unknown brown varmit he found in the black walnut tree south of our house.
